Don't stop looking forward

A few days ago I kicked the coffee table. However, this was not the everyday cheerful kick. This was a frustrating kick which took me by surprise as I wasn't sure why I was frustrated, I wasn't even sure why I was upset or why I was not happy. So I meditated. After levitating in the air for 15 minutes I had reached nowhere I still had no idea why I was feeling like this. Finally, I had to resort to Google, I wrote' why do I feel like this?' random answers, 'how do I feel stop feeling like this?' useless answers. I chucked my phone out of the window.

Here I have compiled a list of things to do, not to do, think about, not think about, and some other random stuff which if nothing else will at least distract you from the kick-a-coffee-table feeling.

1. Don't overthink: I mean just don't. Every time you feel overwhelmed by thinking about the future or about the cringe things in your past. Stop. Go to sleep. Wake up and eat a mango or a Litchi or both.

2. Don't feel like you are not doing enough: a lot of people nowadays tell us that we have a lot of extra time and so we should make the best of it. This however does not mean that we should be studying, working, exercising, or generally trying to improve ourselves all the time just because we have time. Sure, have a routine (I don't have one but perhaps you should) but don't feel bad if one day of the week (or two) all you want to do is lie around and read your book.

3. Go say hi to the chhipkali on the wall.

4. Shut the door of your room and dance like a crazy person, pretend you are a professional dancer. If you are a child and want to become a famous dancer but don't want to think about it right now. Sing instead. If you want to become a professional dancer and singer. Draw.

5. Mental investment: unfortunately I am the kind of person who doesn't like doing things unless I see an outcome at the end. Granted this is not the best way to look at doing things and it does stop me from doing a lot of unnecessary things, but it also sometimes stops me from sitting and looking out of the balcony or even just talking to my family for no reason. These things are very important, so I do them by pursuing myself that they are 'mental investment'.( I agree that this point may be a little confusing but try it every time you need to do something good for yourself but you just can't see the point)

6. Paint on your walls. (I live in a rented house and I have. So if you live in one you will probably be fine)

7. If you can't paint on walls, use Chalk to draw on wooden surfaces.

8. Clean the windows Mirrors and your glasses. Clear vision is important.

9. Gain knowledge on some random topics like the evolution of slippers and throw it at your friend's faces when you can finally meet them.

10. Don't Stop looking forward to things: before this lockdown one of the main things which stopped me from kicking stuff at bad times was looking forward to something. I would look forward to meeting my friends, Inter-School competitions, playing badminton in the evening. I cannot do these things anymore but I can still look forward. German test? at least I can eat Parle-G before. Ridiculous marks on said German test? at least today evening I can bake a cake.

I have to say that I am pretty happy with myself for figuring out these points and maybe I should add blogging to this list.
It's around 6:10 a.m. right now so I am going to go jump on my parent's heads and tell them that I finished my blog. After all plans like jumping on your parent's heads are the only plans that really matter.
