My grandmother sends her regards and apologizes book recommendation
I have been reading books since I could......well, read. So you can be assured that I have read quite a few books. And I have to say, this possibly the best book I have ever read.
Elsa a very clever almost-8-year-old, who is very particular about grammar and knows just about everything. After all, she is a great believer in Wikipedia. She has a very orderly mother, a very crazy grandmother, and a rather tentative father who cannot have too much fun without lying down for a bit.
Despite being through the eyes of a 7yr old, I actually found this book quite dark. I do not cry much or ever almost, but this book had me crying through quite a few chapters, not because it's sad but because it's so beautiful.
Now, as i am refusing to share even a bit of the book with you, as i feel reading this book should be a sacred experience, i will share what i have learnt (i have picked these lines directly out of the book to show how much i love this book)
1) "the knights did the only thing you can with fears: they laughed at them."
2) "every 7yr old deserves a superhero. Anyone who doesn't agree needs their head examined."
How about sending it to me on FB
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I read on the kindle 😅.
